Consultation for Green Star Fitouts is here

As our built environment continues to grow, so does the need for healthy, resilient, and positive fitouts inside our buildings, for the benefit of not only the environment, but for occupants as well. Now is the time to redefine what world class sustainability means for building fitouts.

To do so, an updated version of the Green Star – Interiors tool is coming, and it will shape the next generation of all building fitouts.

GBCA is seeking feedback from existing tool users such as building owners and ESD consultants. As we work to expand the use of the tool throughout the industry, GBCA is also seeking feedback from designers, tenants, and fitout contractors.

‘Green Star Fitouts’ is aiming to fix this through the new tool which:

  • Delivers a new definition of sustainable fitouts
  • Drives supply chain transformation towards circularity
  • Creates spaces you want to be in that are good for you
  • Exceeds Paris climate agreement carbon targets
  • Be supported by a simplified framework that is relevant to your scope

Our vision is that world leading Green Star rated fitouts will fully realise these ideas and exemplify a new approach to designing, building, deconstructing and reusing fitouts.

David Clark on why the future is electric

We've given you the guides to electrification, now we give you the expert.

David Clark has been an engineer for over 30 years and at GBCA, we are grateful to have collaborated with him for 20 of those years on the development of Green Star tools, projects and advisory groups. David is well placed to share an expert insight into why electrification is the better way forward and why all-electric buildings - powered by renewables - are the best way to decarbonise buildings at speed and scale.
