The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) was established in 2002 and is the nation's authority on sustainable buildings and communities. Your new opportunity

Reporting to two Senior Managers, our Market Engagement function supports the GBCA through the update of our Green Star certification program. 

Working closely with a small team, this is an outward facing role. You will be a key point of contact as you strengthen relationships with Green Star users, members and key stakeholders, and assist the team in meeting annual targets. 

Utilising your research and analytical skills, you will support and participate in strategic activities to explore and enter new sectors. You will also need strong organisational and administrative skills as you play an integral role in the coordination of the team ensuring efficient delivery on service elements. 

This is a full-time role based in Sydney. 

Your new responsibilities

  • Undertake sector research and analysis, and identify opportunities for market engagement. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external clients, organisations and industry.
  • Act as client interface and assist with generating leads, fee proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Co ordinate market engagement communications by working with the marketing team to help create and maintain collateral and reports. 
  • Track and coordinate payments, and manage the team's email inbox and incoming enquiries.

Your skills and experience

  • Tertiary degree in sustainability, marketing, business or other related field
  • Experience in sustainability, property, or commercial real estate preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Excellent negotiation skills, persuasive ability and communication skills
  • Confident in presenting
  • Strong collaborative team working skills
  • Flexible, innovative and proactive attitude
