2020 reflection

As we close the 2020 chapter, we reflect on how we worked with industry to deliver more Green Star certifications. Here’s a small snapshot of our 2020 achievements:

We look forward to more great accomplishments in 2021 as we work with industry to improve the sustainability of our built environment.

Improving your Green Star experience

We’ve made more improvements to make your Green Star journey easier:

  • Certification types — A dedicated webpage clarifies the requirements for certifying more than one building under a single certification (known as Multiple Building Single Rating). Applicants MUST submit an eligibility request for our approval prior to registering. Contact the Market Engagement team if you have any questions.
  • Volume approach — We have also developed a web page dedicated to explaining and promoting the Volume approach, one of the most popular approaches for applicants delivering large pipelines of new buildings and fitouts.
  • Current certificates — To help project teams identify current ratings applicable to projects (for example, recertified Green Star — Performance or Green Star — Communities projects), we’ve added a “Recertified” tab in the Green Star Project Manager. Also, archived rating certificates contain a watermark referencing the most valid certificates, making it even easier to access the most current certification on your project.

By working closely with Microsoft we can develop a highly customisable platform that is scalable, future proofed and user friendly, all within a familiar interface.
