Help us drive Green Star forward: nominations now open for Green Star committees

24 Feb 2021

Three years ago, we set out to change Green Star. Thanks to the support of our Industry Advisory Group, our Technical Advisory Group and our Expert Reference Panels, in 2020 we delivered Green Star Buildings, the first of our Future Focus rating tools.

After a successful three-year period, we’re refreshing our governance and panels. We're calling on our members to nominate for the next iteration of our Panels and Advisory groups. This is your chance to help us continue to drive our vision forward and make sure Green Star continues to be at the forefront of industry.

Join our Green Star Advisory Groups

We are looking for industry members in senior positions to join either the Industry Advisory Group or the Technical Advisory Group. Both groups report to the Green Star Advisory Committee and help steer our rating system so it remains rigorous, market relevant and valued by industry.

The Industry Advisory Group provides insight into industry activity and trends and makes recommendations to increase the adoption of Green Star. We encourage you to apply if you are involved in the leasing, ownership, planning, investment or development of buildings, fitouts, communities or precincts.

The Technical Advisory Group develops technical guidance and direction for current and future rating tools and other initiatives. We encourage you to apply if you are a consultant, professional, academic, or practitioner involved in the design, construction, planning, or management of buildings, fitouts, and precincts.

Nominations close 30 March 2021.

Calling all experts

We are refreshing our Expert Reference Panels.

Expert Reference Panels provide specialist advice on topics related to Green Star. They help with the development of thought leadership papers, development of credits and Innovation challenges, and evaluate feedback from industry.

There will be eight Expert Reference Panels ranging from energy and carbon to products and materials. Expert Reference Panels report to the Market Transformation Senior Team and being part of an Expert Reference Panel does not preclude you from being part of any Advisory Group.

If you consider yourself an expert in the built environment, or a specific topic related to sustainability, we encourage you to nominate yourself.
