Our buildings and communities have direct and indirect impacts on habitat, ecosystems and water quality, but together we have the opportunity to support the renewal of nature in our cities.
The draft roadmap provides a framework for the built environment to contribute to the global ambition for a nature-positive future. It recognises that developments must move beyond minimising harm and actively support the protection, regeneration and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems.
This is a draft for consultation – we invite your input to help shape a roadmap that delivers meaningful outcomes for nature.
Consultation is open until 30 August 2025.
