Frasers Property Australia has cracked a first for industrial buildings.
A new supersite purpose-built for Ceva Logistics has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star – Design & As Built v1.1 rating, spanning an impressive 74,546sqm.
Located in Truganina, Victoria, Frasers Property Australia General Manager, Southern Region, Anthony Maugeri, says the project is an extension of its commitment to sustainability and its partnership with Ceva Logistics, of which has seen Frasers Property construct eight existing buildings for the business.
“The operational cost savings that have been created are not only significant to the bottom line for the customer, but also reduce our carbon footprint,” Anthony says.
“We will continue to find ways to create greater efficiencies in all of our warehouses,” he continues.
The savings Anthony points to include:
- A 25 per cent saving on energy since the operation began
- 22 per cent reduction in operational energy costs
- Rainwater collection and reuse system
- Active transport facilities such as bike racks
- Design changes to reduce embodied carbon by 71 per cent
