Induction cooktops are fast becoming a popular choice choice for home cooks across the country. In fact, this revolutionary technology is transforming everyday cooking – making it faster, safer, and more energy-efficient than before.
But not many Australians have experienced the meticulous precision and efficiency of induction cooking. So, we partnered with Miele to showcase how induction cooktops are making every day better.
Induction cooktops are extremely versatile, providing all the flexibility you need when cooking at home. Whether you’re looking to sear a steak to perfection, need unrivalled speed for a stir fry, or gentle controlled heat for melting chocolate, induction can handle all types of cooking with efficiency and ease. Watch as we put induction to the test.
Not only does induction provide an unrivalled cooking experience, but clever, thoughtful features make induction cooktops better for you and your family.
Whether you're after a recessed cooktop, a portable option or a freestanding unit, induction cooktops come in all shapes and sizes to fit your kitchen. For recessed units, check both width and height as recessed units require space beneath for ventilation.
If you’re upgrading from gas, contact a qualified plumber to disconnect and cap off the gas line first. Next, you'll need to bring in a qualified electrician to assess the switchboard capacity, connect a dedicated electrical circuit rated to the cooktop’s power requirements and install the new cooktop. If you're upgrading from an electric cooktop, in most cases, it will just be a simple appliance swap.
Many types of cookware are compatible with induction cooktops, including cast iron and steel. If the pots and pans are flat and a magnet sticks to the cookware bottom, this is a good sign. Look for the induction compatible symbol when purchasing cookware.
Now you're ready to enjoy everyday better cooking with induction!
