Wollongong City Council’s Administration Building is positive proof that older buildings can be green buildings. First occupied in 1987, the building is the first in Australia to achieve a 5 Star Green Star – Performance rating, signifying ‘Australian Excellence’.

Sydney Opera House

In 2015, the Opera House was awarded a 4 Star Green Star – Performance rating, joining a handful of World Heritage-listed buildings to have achieved green certification globally.

Achieving a 4 Star Green Star rating for its Hallam store in south east Melbourne in June 2015, Coles has proved that sustainability and supermarkets are a winning combination for business and the environment.

And WWF’s new-look Australian headquarters aligns perfectly with this mission.

Renewal SA’s Bowden Development, situated on the western edge of the Adelaide City Parklands, is redefining sustainable living in South Australia.

Each and every building delivered on the 16.3 hectare site must achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating – or above. Renewal SA has raised the bar even higher, by also committing to achieve a Green Star – Communities rating for the entire precinct.

Westfield Sydney

An iconic shopping destination in Sydney has undergone a green makeover – and now has the Green Star certification to prove its environmental credentials to tenants and customers.

The Green Building Council of Australia has awarded the Westfield Sydney Retail Podium on Pitt and Castlereagh streets with a 5 Star Green Star – Retail Centre v1 rating, representing ‘Australian Excellence’ in sustainable design.

Mills Park Community Facility
