Nominations open for Green Star committees

Help us drive Green Star forward

The activities undertaken by Green Building Council of Australia are heavily informed by our members. One way you can get involved and have a significant influence on the work that we do is by joining one of our Advisory Groups or Expert Reference Panels.

You can nominate for the following groups:

  • Industry Advisory Groups
  • Technical Advisory Groups
  • Expert Reference Panels
    • Energy and carbon
    • Resilience
    • People, health and wellbeing
    • Nature
    • Place making
    • Sustainable precincts
    • Performance and building operations
    • Products and materials

How much time is involved in participating?

Being part of an Advisory Group is a significant commitment on your part. Last year, the Advisory Groups met a combined 18 times for at least 2 hours each meeting. You should only nominate for either the Technical or the Industry Advisory Group, not both. Please read the terms of reference and consider appropriately.

Being part of an Expert Reference Panel is a commitment as well. Depending on the Expert Reference Panel, you may find yourself meeting once a month for some time. You can nominate for up to three Expert Reference Panels in order of preference. Please read the terms of reference and consider appropriately.

You can nominate to multiple Expert Reference Panels and one of the Advisory Groups if you fit the criteria.

How do I nominate?

You should read the terms of reference for each group or the Expert Reference Panels. They have distinct requirements, and we encourage you to consider which one you are suitable for.

You can find the terms of reference on the links below:

To nominate fill out this survey. The survey does ask for specific information from you and should take you around 20 to 30 minutes. Nominations close 30 March 2021.
