New Foundation Courses

We have listened to feedback from industry and have revised our Foundation Courses. We now offer both an introductory day and separately bookable advanced day and aim to meet greater knowledge needs.

Introduction Day

The Introduction Day is ideal for those new to sustainability, or those who want to gain an understanding of the business benefits derived from using the Green Star rating tools. 

Key topics:

  • The benefits of embedding sustainability in the built environment
  • Why choose Green Star?
  • Breaking down the business case for sustainability
  • Overview of the Green Star Design & As Built, Performance and Communities rating tools
  • Green Star stories of success

This will earn you 3 Green Star CPD points.

Advanced Day

The Advanced Day arms you with knowledge and expertise in particular Green Star rating system. 

Key topics:

  • Deep dive into a Green Star rating tool
  • Examine best practice strategies to tackle the tool’s most challenging credits
  • Explore stories of success from those who’ve used the tool
  • Top tips to streamline your submission process
  • Learn through doing – pathways, calculators and submission

This course will earn you 6 Green Star CPD points.

Want to know more? Looking to be accredited as a Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP?)


Our Advanced course arms you with advanced knowledge and expertise in a particular Green Star rating system.  You must attend our Introduction day prior to the Advanced day and to gain GSAP accreditation pass the Advanced exam.

The advanced day will give you a thorough understanding of the submission process and take you step by step through what you need to know. The GSAP accreditation will distinguish you as an industry expert.


Gaining accreditation

To become a GSA, you will need to attend the Introduction and Advanced day.

To become a GSAP, you will need to attend the Introduction and Advanced day, and pass the exam. The GSAP accreditation will distinguish you as an industry expert.
