The GBCA has developed the Green Star Professional development program which allows professionals to be recognised for their knowledge and contribution to building a more sustainable built environment.
Our program offers two levels of accreditation: Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) and Green Star Associate (GSA). Each accreditation requires you to attend our Green Star Foundation Courses as well as maintaining CPD point requirements through a diverse range of face-to-face and online learning activities tailored to suit your needs.
Day one: Introduction to Green Star | 3 CPD points
The Introduction day is a prerequisite one-day course that must be completed before taking any of the rating tool advanced day courses. It explores sustainability in the built environment, “why Green Star” and examines the business case for sustainability. It illustrates all 3 rating tools via case studies and demonstrates how the tools can inform better choices. The Introduction day can also be booked as a standalone course for those new to sustainability, or those who want to gain an understanding of the business benefits derived from using the Green Star rating tools.
Day two: Rating tool advanced day | 6 CPD points
Once you have completed the Introduction day you can attend any of the advanced day courses. The advanced course arms you with knowledge and expertise in a particular Green Star rating tool by diving deep into the tool and examining the most challenging credits and gain an understanding of the pathways, calculators and submissions through interactive content and case study based learning.
