The GBCA has developed the Green Star Professional development program which allows professionals to be recognised for their knowledge and contribution to building a more sustainable built environment.
Our program offers two levels of accreditation: Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) and Green Star Associate (GSA). Each accreditation requires you to attend our Green Star Training as well as maintaining CPD point requirements through a diverse range of face-to-face and online learning activities.
Explores sustainability in the built environment, “why Green Star”, and examines the business case for sustainability. It illustrates all 4 rating tools via case studies and demonstrates how the tools can inform better choices.

Arms you with knowledge and expertise in the particular Green Star rating tool by diving deep into the tool and examining the most challenging credits and gain an understanding of the pathways, calculators and submissions through interactive content and case study based learning.
N.B. You must attend the Green Star Foundations: Introduction before attending any of the Green Star Advanced training days.

Becoming a GSAP puts you on the forefront of sustainability in the built environment. The GSAP is equipped with the knowledge and expertise to become a confident leader in guiding projects through Green Star certification.
The GSA acknowledges the commitment of those who support green design, construction and operation, but who are not directly involved in Green Star project work or submissions. GSA’s can play a strong role in organisational commitment to the built environment, sustainability, and help communicate the language of sustainability.
